I had a really good week as far as eating goes, a couple of meals with some starches but not very much. I can tell you it seemed to be that my performances were enhanced just because of what I ate and what I put in my body.

Some of us workout just to eat what we want, WRONG! In almost every way I can think of, by doing this you will NOT stay the same but yet digress. The more you become active the more your body requests that you consume, the good stuff.

Whats the good stuff? Vegetables, greens, meats, nuts and seeds and some fruits. The bad? Grains and sugar primarily; that’s your breads, rice, beans, and processed plastic they call food. Greatness

You sometimes have to reach for what you cant see in order to have excellence. Everyday we go through life thinking of what the day has in store but we really don’t know. The time we have is only now this very moment which means we have to use it to the fullest. Not one minute should go by that we don’t strive to be the best person that we can be educationally, physically, and spiritually. In the same breath we should exhale “morality” in doing so. It all goes hand in hand. Good things never come easy and great things become arduous, but that doesn’t mean quit. We must challenge are self each and everyday and when life becomes strenuous or unyielding it only means were on the verge of greatness. What do you consider to be pain? Your not the only one who deals with pain, and not that your pain is of no importance but put it into perspective. What we feel on a day to to day basis is just that, day to day. Nothing good happens over night and nothing bad is corrected instantly, it’s step by step and done in a positive perspective, it could be worse. When I feel out of the zone and the wheels fall off, I try to help the next person, it helps me with the perspective aspect. If I can get through my worse day well I must have something to offer to the next person dealing with their worse day. It’s not just about me, pain for one1 can be felt through a community. Put your hand out, you will be surprised who grabs a hold. A stranger, a friend, a family member, or it could be a hand to pull you along when you need it. Do your part, step up.

Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.

A lot of the time we think we cant do something because we condense our goals into one big leap when in reality there are steps. Worry about taking the first step and the other foot will follow. Just as simple as walking to the gym or the library or church take the first step and you will be amazed where you end up. Rise to the challenge, take the first step and I guarantee you not only will the other foot follow but so will others. MIND BODY and SOUL.

               I, like most people that work out, put my body through intense workouts and have soreness and tense muscles. I have always heard about Therapeutic Massage but never tried it and pushed it off until Thursday 2-7-13. It was relaxing and therapeutic and the best decision I have made since training. It helped with mobility and worked out knots that inevitably occur through training. This is a must do for crossfitters or for anyone that is active. Very important to approach this with your mindset as this is your tool(your body, health and well being) to go through life with and you only get one. When the unknown arises be prepared, when your kids what play at the park be involved, be the a person someone can lean on for strength. I completely endorse crossfit, this is a training program that will allow you to improve functionality, become stronger, and reach your goals. If crossfit is not your avenue some sort of strength training is encouraged and especially if you are just starting out to have a trainer to show you the ropes would be ideal. What do you like to do?
